German police arrest "port" attack challenged Munich

Police have arrested a suspect in the knife attack in the southern German city of Munich, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
The suspect was believed to have hit four people and tried to stab two others earlier Saturday, but his attempt failed.

Police spokesman Markus da Gloria Martins told reporters that the victims were five men and a woman.

"We arrested a person who is very similar to the description that identified the witnesses, but we can not confirm that he is the attacker," Martins said.

Martins said the police were not yet aware of the attacker's motives and would reveal the suspect's name once he was confirmed to be the attacker.
